Why we are starting

Somali organisations are under pressure to adopt AI, but almost every tool, course and adviser on offer was made for another language and another market. Very little of it has been tested on Somali documents or Somali work. We started Maangarad AI in Muqdisho to do that work properly, in Somali and English.

We are new, and we are taking on our first projects now. Yours could be one of them.

OUR MISSION

AI that works in Somali

A ministry should be able to search its own archive in Somali. An NGO should be able to train field staff without flying in a consultant. A bank should know exactly what its AI does before it goes live. That is the work we are here to do.

We want to be the first call for any Somali organisation with an AI question, and the firm it still trusts once the system is running.

People stay in charge

A person signs off on anything an AI system produces. Your data stays where you agree it should. We test in Somali and English, and we write down what every system does and where it fails.

This applies to every project, from the first meeting to handover.
